A new caregiver started work at a retirement home and was told,<\/p>\n
“Only press the red emergency button if it’s a real emergency.”<\/p>\n
On her very first day, she heard an elderly gentleman shouting,<\/p>\n
“Help! Help! Somebody, please help!”<\/p>\n
She sprinted down the hallway, slammed the red button, and within seconds nurses, doctors, security guards, and even the administrator came running.<\/p>\n
Breathless, she asked, “Sir, what happened? Are you alright?”<\/p>\n
The old man smiled and pointed at the television.<\/p>\n
“I can’t find the remote.”<\/p>\n
The administrator sighed, handed him the remote, and everyone started leaving.<\/p>\n
As they walked away, another resident called out,<\/p>\n
“Since you’re all here… could someone settle the biggest argument in this place?”<\/p>\n
The administrator asked, “What’s that?”<\/p>\n
The resident grinned and said,<\/p>\n
