“Madam,” she said politely, “I’d like to take a month’s leave to visit my family.”<\/p>\n
Lady Margaret nearly dropped her teacup.<\/p>\n
“A month? But who will cook for us?”<\/p>\n
The cook smiled. “I’m sure Sir Henry can help.”<\/p>\n
Lady Margaret gasped. “Good heavens, woman! I’m asking who will cook\u2014not who will burn the house down!”<\/p>\n
Just then Sir Henry walked in and proudly announced,<\/p>\n
