There is nothing wrong with an adult man building with Legos and setting up an epic adventure with them that plays out in his head as something amazing. It\u2019s escapism and very calming, even in adults. It stimulates the mind to have a self-made adventure where everything is exactly what I want it to be.<\/p>\n
People have laughed when they\u2019ve seen my collection sitting on the shelves, assuming it\u2019s just childish clutter. They don\u2019t realize those little bricks help me unwind after stressful days far better than scrolling endlessly through my phone. If pretending to be the hero of my own imaginary world brings me peace without hurting anyone, I honestly don\u2019t see the problem.<\/p>\n

\nI wash my underwear with other clothes, like jeans and socks. I sincerely can\u2019t understand people who claim that underwear should be washed separately. I wash everything in hot water using detergent.<\/p>\n
Once, my mother-in-law saw me doing laundry. She groaned and said that I was doing it all wrong. I came into the bathroom 15 minutes later and found out that she had stopped the washer, taken out my husband\u2019s underwear, put mine back in, and turned it on again.<\/p>\n

\nWhen I started dating my wife, she thought it was so strange that I refused offers for somebody to get me a drink at her place. I slowly taught her that it\u2019s okay not to want something or to have your own opinion. One day we went to a mall. I wanted sushi, while she wanted steak. Instead of arguing, we agreed to disagree, ate at separate restaurants, and both had great meals.<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t a fight or anything. We simply agreed that spending an hour apart enjoying food we actually wanted was better than forcing one person to settle. We met afterward happier than ever, and somehow people still act like couples have to do absolutely everything together to have a healthy relationship.<\/p>\n

\nI love going on the swings. I\u2019m 30, and it still fascinates me that I can quickly and easily get 10\u201315 feet\u2014or even higher\u2014in the air with some simple leg movement.<\/p>\n
One day I was at a fairly deserted local park, having the time of my life. Suddenly, a Karen showed up with her two children, put her hands on her hips, and yelled, \u201cWhat are you doing on there? The swings are for kids, not adults!\u201d<\/p>\n
My tax dollars paid for these swings, and there\u2019s no sign saying adults can\u2019t use them, so I\u2019ll swing as much as I please whenever I want. Her children actually seemed more amused watching me than bothered by my presence. She eventually stormed off, but I stayed for another twenty minutes, soaring through the air with a grin on my face.<\/p>\n

\nWalking a cat. Some old man once yelled at me and threatened to call the cops because, according to him, cats aren\u2019t dogs and you can\u2019t walk them.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, my cat was happily sniffing flowers, climbing over tree roots, and enjoying the fresh air completely unbothered by the drama. I\u2019m still not sure what crime he thought I was committing, but I\u2019m fairly certain “taking a cat for a walk” isn\u2019t one of them.<\/p>\n

\nIt\u2019s annoying when you go to someone\u2019s place, wash your hands, and ask what towel to use to dry them, and they say, \u201cUse any towel you want, it doesn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
It does matter. I don\u2019t want to wipe my hands with a towel that you probably used to dry your body. Why is it so hard to have one towel that’s only for hands?<\/p>\n
Whenever people look at me strangely for asking, I can\u2019t help wondering if I\u2019m the odd one\u2014or if everyone else has simply accepted something that never made much sense in the first place.<\/p>\n

\nI\u2019m staying at my friend\u2019s house. I asked her for two towels before my shower. She gave me a weird look.<\/p>\n

She even came into the kitchen, where I was working, and wouldn\u2019t leave me alone until I put the blanket away from the chair that only I use.<\/p>\n
I eventually folded it just to end the conversation, but I unfolded it again the moment she left. Some battles simply aren\u2019t worth fighting\u2014even when you secretly know you\u2019re right.<\/p>\n

But people still stop me to chat.<\/p>\n
I want to scream, \u201cDon\u2019t you see the headphones? I want to be left alone!\u201d But I\u2019m a nice guy, so I stop and talk anyway. What society really needs is an official \u201cPlease don\u2019t talk to me\u201d sign that everyone actually respects.<\/p>\n

\nIt\u2019s socially unacceptable to eat as much food as you actually want at a party.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know about other age groups, but as an adult, people will look at you strangely if you go back for another handful of chips or help yourself to more food. I\u2019ve been to countless university parties where the snacks sat untouched because nobody wanted to be the first person to eat them. They were worried people would think they were greedy or “fat” if they ate more than one chip.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s ridiculous. The host bought the food so people could enjoy it, not so everyone could spend the evening pretending they weren\u2019t hungry while secretly hoping someone else would make the first move.<\/p>\n

\nVisible bra straps. A bra is simply a garment, no different from the undershirts or vests worn by men. Why does it matter whether the straps are hidden or visible?<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve heard people criticize women over something as insignificant as a strap showing beneath a shirt, as if it\u2019s some kind of scandal. It isn\u2019t. It\u2019s just clothing.
