You have to know exactly when to ease off the throttle, when to apply just the right amount of pressure, and\u2014most importantly\u2014how to stay in the tunnel until everyone has reached their final destination.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">The trainee asks, &#8220;What if I\u2019m running a little behind schedule?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The veteran grins. &#8220;Son, in this business, nobody complains if you take your time getting into the station\u2014as long as the ride was smooth and you finished with a <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"162\">controlled release of
