Part One<\/strong><\/p>\n

We had only been together for three months. Everything still felt new and promising, and we were just beginning to learn the small details about each other \u2014 habits, comfort zones, and how we handled awkward or stressful moments.<\/p>\n

One rainy evening, I found myself in an uncomfortable situation. I\u2019d run out of sanitary pads, and the cramps were getting worse by the minute. Embarrassed but desperate, I finally asked him,
\u201cCould you run to the store and get me some pads?\u201d<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t expect much. Most men I knew would have turned pale, cracked a joke, or asked a dozen uncomfortable questions. But he didn\u2019t. He simply nodded, grabbed his keys, and walked out as if I\u2019d asked him to buy milk.<\/p>\n

About twenty minutes later, he came back with a small pharmacy bag in his hand. Inside weren\u2019t just any pads \u2014 they were the exact brand I used. The right size. The right variant. Even the overnight length.<\/p>\n

I stared at the package, completely stunned.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow did you know these are the ones I use?\u201d I asked, half amazed, half confused.<\/p>\n

A chill ran down my spine. Not because it sounded creepy \u2014 but because it was so precise. So specific. So strangely intimate. How many people notice something like that? And more importantly, how many remember it well enough to recognize it on a crowded store shelf?<\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t sure whether to be flattered or unnerved.<\/p>\n
