The Mountain Vacation Blunder That Had Everyone in Stitches

A group of friends was planning a weekend trip to the mountains. Among them were Jake and Emily, a young newlywed couple who had been married for only three months.

The night before departure, everyone was busy packing. Jake was trying to be the perfect husband.

“Emily,” he said proudly, “I packed everything we could possibly need.”

“Everything?” she asked.

“Absolutely. Blankets, hiking boots, snacks, first-aid kit, flashlight, extra batteries, raincoats… I even packed a survival guide.”

Emily smiled. “Wow, I’m impressed.”

The next morning, the group piled into a van and headed toward the mountains. Halfway there, one of their friends asked Emily, “Did Jake really pack everything?”

Emily laughed. “According to him, yes.”

Jake grinned confidently. “I planned for every emergency.”

Several hours later, they arrived at the cabin. Everyone unpacked their bags.

One friend pulled out hiking gear.

Another unpacked fishing equipment.

A third revealed enough food to feed a small army.

Then Emily opened her suitcase.

Inside were six pairs of shoes, three jackets, four sweaters, two dresses…

…and absolutely no clothes for Jake.

Emily looked at him. “Honey, where’s your luggage?”

Jake suddenly turned pale.

“My luggage?”

“Yes.”

Jake stared blankly for a moment.

Then he slowly looked at the giant suitcase he’d been proudly carrying all day.

“Honey,” he whispered, “isn’t this my luggage?”

Emily folded her arms.

“No. That’s mine.”

The entire group burst into laughter.

“But I packed it myself!” Jake protested.

Emily nodded.

“Yes. And apparently you spent two hours carefully packing my clothes while completely forgetting your own.”

One friend wiped tears from his eyes and said,

“Jake, that’s the most newly-married thing I’ve ever heard.”

Jake sighed and looked at the mountains.

“Well, at least I packed the survival guide.”

Emily grinned.

“Good. Because according to the weather forecast, you’re surviving this entire weekend wearing my pink sweatshirt.” 😂🏔️
