WASHINGTON Nov 19 (Online): White House spokesman has said that there was no deal between Israel and Hamas regarding the release of hostages and a ceasefire.<\/p>\n

A White House spokesman took to social media to deny the US newspaper’s claim of a cease-fire agreement, saying the US is continuing to work towards an agreement between the two sides but no deal has yet been reached.<\/p>\n

The American newspaper Washington Post has claimed that Israel, the United States and Hamas have reached a temporary agreement for a five-day pause in the fighting in exchange for the release of hostages in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Israel and Hamas have agreed to a US-backed deal and both sides have agreed to a ceasefire and the release of hostages.<\/p>\n

The US newspaper said a five-day pause in the fighting had been agreed, with around 50 hostages being freed in the first 24 hours.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the spokesperson of Al-Qassam Brigade, Abu Obeidah, has said that the contact with some groups responsible for the protection of the Israeli hostages has been cut off.<\/p>\n

Spokesman al-Qassam Brigade has also expressed his interest in the release of 70 Israeli hostages in return for a five-day ceasefire.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has demanded from American President Joe Biden an immediate ceasefire and provision of aid to Gaza.<\/p>\n
