ISLAMABAD, Nov 04 (Online): Local court of Islamabad has sent former speaker National Assembly (NA) speaker Asad Qaisar to jail on judicial remand.<\/p>\n

The court has ordered Anti corruption KP to complete legal proceedings within one week.<\/p>\n

Asad Qaisar was presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate Qudratullah by Banigala Islamabad Police.<\/p>\n

SHO Banigala police Ashfaq Warraich took the plea that Asad Qaisar has been arrested in corruption case. He should be sent to jail on judicial remand so that Anti Corruption KP could take Asad Qaisar into its custody after completing legal proceedings.<\/p>\n

PTI lawyers, Shoaib Shaheen, Barrister Gauhar Ali, Sardar Maroof and others appeared in the court.<\/p>\n

Counsel Shoaib Shaheen said why Islamabad police in hurry is. Who gave powers to Islamabad police to arrest in some one other case? A day before date of election was announced and Asad Qaisar was arrested. Asad Qaisar is being subjected to political vengeance. He should be released in this case. Asad Qaisar continues to go to KP. Why anti corruption did not arrest him there.
\nShoaib Shaheen told the court we are filing petition in connection with protective bail of Asad Qaisar.<\/p>\n

The court remarked protective bail cannot be granted to Asad Qaisar at this stage.<\/p>\n

The court reserved judgment on police plea for sending Asad Qaisar on judicial remand.<\/p>\n
