ISLAMABAD, OCT 31 (ONLINE): Supreme Court (SC) has issued written order on hearing intra court appeal against NAB amendment case decision.
\nThe court rejected Farooq H Naik plea for suspending NAB amendment case decision.
\nThe court also restrained accountability courts from giving final decision till next hearing. <\/p>\n
It has been said in the order of hearing that detailed decision of practice and procedure case has not come. NAB amendment intra court appeal will be fixed for hearing after the detailed decision comes.<\/p>\n
The court while issuing notice to advocate generals of all the provinces including Islamabad in NAB amendment appeal adjourned the hearing of the case.
\nJustice Athar Minallah remarked NAB amendment case should have been heard by 5-member bench under practice and procedure. Practice and procedure bill was suspended. Act has never been suspended.<\/p>\n
A five members bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa took up the case for hearing Tuesday. <\/p>\n
During the hearing of the case Attorney General (AG) came on rostrum and said lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan is outside the country. He has filed application for adjournment. Can I make some submissions?<\/p>\n
The CJP remarked some more petitions have come before us.<\/p>\n
AG replied” I am ready to assist the court.<\/p>\n
Farooq H Naik, counsel for petitioner also came on rostrum.<\/p>\n
The CJP inquired Farooq Naik Sahb are you supporting or opposing the decision. <\/p>\n
Farooq H Naik said “I am opposing the decision of SC against NAB amendment.
\nNaik told the court he had filed some petitions on behalf of some respondents.<\/p>\n
The CJP inquired were you not respondent in this case earlier.<\/p>\n
Naik said his client is accused of NAB. Decision was given without making him respondent.<\/p>\n
The CJP inquired have all the amendments ended due to the decision or some are left.
\nNaik said the third amendment which came has not been touched. Some from first and second amendments were abolished.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
