ISLAMABAD 28 August (Online): Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead the side in Asian event
\nAfghanistan team reached Lahore ahead of Asia Cup 2022, which is set to start in Multan on August 30.<\/p>\n
The Afghans will start their campaign against Bangladesh on September 3 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
\nAfghanistan announced 17-member squad for the Asian event. Hashmatullah Shahidi will continue leading the side.
\nUnder his captaincy, Afghanistan lost three-match ODI series against Pakistan in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
After beating Afghanistan, Pakistan once again grabbed the number one position in the ICC ODI rankings.
\nThe hosts will play Nepal in the tournament’s opener on August 30 in Multan.<\/p>\n
