ISLAMABAD 14 July (Online): Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has recovered more than 556 billion rupee during the period of last one year, says annual report.<\/p>\n

Big cases of corruption and malpractices were handed over to NAB and FIA.
\nMany orders including $3 billion loan, NADRA Data leak, Hajj assistants scandal investigation orders were given.<\/p>\n
PAC issued performance report from May 23, 2022 to July 14, 2023.
\nCommittee held 93 meetings in total in chairmanship of Noor Alam Khan 6568 audit objections and 344 financial calculations of fiscal year 2019\/2020 and 2020\/2021 were presented in meetings.<\/p>\n
Totally 600 audit objections were reviewed in which 20 audit object were given to NAB (National Accountability Bureau) and 34 were given to FIA (Federal Investigation Agency). 211 audit objections were returned to handle on level of DAC (Departmental Accountability Committee).<\/p>\n
Report says that PAC settled 73 fiscal calculations and 145 audit objections of various ministries and divisions in last one year and also recovered 556.52 billion Pkr in this period.

\nInquiry of tax evasion in former FATA (now Pata).<\/p>\n
Notice of delay in installation of scanners on Toor Kham border.
\nOrder to provide list of govt employees as hajj assistant in last five years.<\/p>\n
Notice of illegal use of Helicopter in KP.
\nNotice of corruption in Billion tree Tsunami and BRT project.
\nNotice of vehicle price hike issue and forming special committee on it.
\nNotice of delay issue of housing schemes from overseas Pakistani.
\nNotice of Corruption in projects of \u2018Naya Pakistan Housing Authority\u2019.
\nOrders of audit of sovereign institutes and regulatory institutes under control of federal government.
\nOrder to secretary petroleum to remove ban on new gas connection.
\nDirection to Auditor General Office to audit Pakistan Cricket Council\u2019s calculations.
\nInvestigation of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmend Dam funds.
\nOrder to CDA to end encroachment in Islamabad.
