LAHORE, April ,16 (Online) Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher were left in tears as they remembered their good friend Satish Kaushik on his birth anniversary recently.
\nOn Satish Kaushik\u2019s 67th birth anniversary, Anupam Kher hosted a special event that saw many celebrities in attendance. Called \u2018Satish Kaushik Night\u2019, the musical event also had his friends and family fondly remembering the late actor. Fans were left heartbroken to see Kaushik\u2019s daughter Vanshika reading out a letter for her father, sharing how she misses him every day. And now, a video from the event has gone viral on social media wherein Anil Kapoor is seen breaking down as he is invited to the stage by Anupam Kher.
\nThe video starts with Anupam Kher telling the guests about his last conversation with Satish Kaushik. Mid-way, he calls Anil Kapoor to come up. While initially hesitant, the actor walks down the stairs, only to break down and walk back to his seat. Overwhelmed with emotions, Anil refuses to join Kher and asks his friend to go on without him. Seeing him in this condition, Anupam Kher also tears up and rebukes him for making him emotional..
\n Anil Kapoor was not in the country at the time of Kaushik\u2019s death. At the same event later, he opened up about how Satish Kaushik was not well during the shoot of their last film together, Thar (2022).The actor shared how he would advise Kaushik to take rest and come to shoot only when he feels well: \u201cWhen we were shooting for Thar, I could feel that he was not well. I was so emotionally attached to him. I used to tell him, \u2018You come at your convenience. You should relax, and take a break.\u2019 He would tell me he is feeling acidic, and I always told him to take his time.\u201d
\nBut the late actor was so \u2018passionate\u2019 about the work that he used to turn up on the set despite being told to rest. Anil Kapoor added, \u201cBut then he turned up on the set. I asked him, \u2018Weren\u2019t you taking rest?\u2019 And he jokingly responded, \u2018I was scared you would remove my scene. Now I feel better\u2019.\u201d
