{"id":74459,"date":"2023-04-03T17:30:05","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T12:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=74459"},"modified":"2023-04-03T16:42:51","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T11:42:51","slug":"imran-petition-for-quashment-of-cases-lhc-adjourns-hearing-of-over-100-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/pakistan-news\/imran-petition-for-quashment-of-cases-lhc-adjourns-hearing-of-over-100-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Imran petition for quashment of cases: LHC adjourns hearing of over 100 cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE, April 03 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned hearing of Imran Khan petition seeking dismissal of cases against him till April 05 due to absence of PTI lawyer. <\/p>\n<p>A two members bench of LHC presided over by Justice Baqir Ali Najfi took up Imran Khan petition for hearing Monday.<br \/>\nSuleman Safdar counsel for Imran Khan could not appear in the court due to his engagements in Supreme Court (SC). <\/p>\n<p>The court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 05 due to non appearance of counsel for PTI. <\/p>\n<p>Federation, government of Punjab, FIA, NAB and others have been made respondents in the petition filed by Imran Khan for quashment of cases against him.<br \/>\nFormer PM Imran Khan has filed the constitutional petition through barrister Suleman Safdar. <\/p>\n<p>He has taken plea in the petition that the powers are being misused by registering over one hundred cases against him. 121 false cases have been registered. <\/p>\n<p>The petitioner has prayed LHC to order for quashing these cases.
