The caretaker Punjab government imposed  section 144 after announcement of election schedule. <\/p>\n<p>The petitioner requested the court to declare Punjab government step on imposition of section 144 illegal besides issuing guidelines with reference to  section 144 in  future. <\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention that PTI chairman Imran Khan had announced to hold rally in connection with his election campaign on Sunday. <\/p>\n<p>Later Lahore administration imposed section 144 in the city, deployed heavy contingent of police and called Rangers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE, March 13 (Online): Imposition of section 144 in Lahore by the care taker Punjab government after the announcement of election schedule in the province has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).
