{"id":71257,"date":"2023-03-08T05:00:02","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T00:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=71257"},"modified":"2023-03-08T02:03:33","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T21:03:33","slug":"pm-shehbaz-announces-free-wheat-flour-for-poor-under-ramazan-package","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/pakistan-news\/pm-shehbaz-announces-free-wheat-flour-for-poor-under-ramazan-package\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Shehbaz announces free wheat flour for poor under Ramazan package"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP): In a big relief for poor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday announced a Ramazan package providing free wheat flour to the inflation-hit people. <\/p>\n<p>The package is first of its kind aimed at facilitating the poor population. <\/p>\n<p>Chairing a review meeting, the prime minister said after its launch in Punjab, the federal government would extend cooperation to provinces to replicate the programme. <\/p>\n<p>The prime minister directed the authorities concerned to complete the comprehensive strategy for the supply of flour to the poor families as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Finance Secretary Mujahid Sherdil briefed the prime minister about the Ramazan package.<\/p>\n<p>Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the Secretary Food and other senior officials attended the meeting.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, on his Twitter handle, the prime minister said that he realized the severe difficulties faced by millions of people living below the poverty line due to price hike. <\/p>\n<p>On the advent of Ramazan ul Mubarak, the people should come forward and become a source of relief and comfort to the poor segment of society, the prime minister stressed.<br \/>\nSo, a decision over provision of free flour had been taken, he said and expressed the hope that other provinces would also share their part in this kind gesture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP): In a big relief for poor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday announced a Ramazan package providing free wheat flour to the inflation-hit people.
