{"id":6855,"date":"2021-02-26T10:48:12","date_gmt":"2021-02-26T10:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=6855"},"modified":"2021-02-26T10:48:15","modified_gmt":"2021-02-26T10:48:15","slug":"pm-lays-foundation-stone-of-central-business-district-in-lahore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/top-news\/pm-lays-foundation-stone-of-central-business-district-in-lahore\/","title":{"rendered":"PM lays foundation-stone of Central Business District in Lahore"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday laid the foundation-stone of the country\u2019s first-ever Central Business District in Lahore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing a ceremony on the occasion, the Prime Minister said this project will serve as a business hub that will help in wealth generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imran Khan was confident that this project will help generate six thousand billion rupees. In the first phase, he said the project will generate 1300 billion rupees and the federal government will get two hundred and fifty billion rupees in taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prime Minister stressed that wealth generation projects are important to strengthen the economy enabling it to return the loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imran Khan regretted that the economy was mismanaged in the previous two governments. &nbsp;He said we inherited difficult economic situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He however expressed satisfaction that the current account surplus remained surplus during the first six months of current fiscal year. \u00a0He said our textile exports are also witnessing increase and new industries are being set up in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referring to Naya Pakistan Housing Project, the Prime Minister said this will provide affordable houses to the salaried class and the labourers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prime Minister said Pakistan and Qatar have signed a new LNG import agreement for ten years.
