{"id":68288,"date":"2023-01-31T20:00:02","date_gmt":"2023-01-31T15:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=68288"},"modified":"2023-01-31T16:42:07","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T11:42:07","slug":"pac-seeks-details-of-posting-of-fbr-officers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/pakistan-news\/pac-seeks-details-of-posting-of-fbr-officers\/","title":{"rendered":"PAC seeks details of posting of FBR officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, January 31 (Online): Subcommittee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has sought details of posting of the employees in FBR who have returned money through plea bargain or voluntarily in corruption cases. <\/p>\n<p>The court also directed to contact Advocate General (AG) with reference to FBR court cases. <\/p>\n<p>The committee met here under its convener Nawab Sher in parliament house Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>The audit objections in respect of FBR for the year 2017-18 were reviewed in the meeting. <\/p>\n<p>Nawab Sher Wasir said chairman FBR has not come. The committee accepted justification of non presence of FBR chairman. <\/p>\n<p>He said \u201cI wonder that your reply is No to all the questions from audit. <\/p>\n<p>You make commitment but don\u2019t fulfill it. Your cases are running from years upon years. You\u2019re so many audit paras were settled last time. You officers don\u2019t want to sit along with each other. The most of the amount is stuck up in court cases. The officers who are punished return to the same posts too. Then what is use of it. <\/p>\n<p>The audit told the committee that audit of documents of 800 tax payers was conducted and a considerable difference was found between statements and returns.
