{"id":67919,"date":"2023-01-28T02:00:18","date_gmt":"2023-01-27T21:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=67919"},"modified":"2023-01-27T16:52:23","modified_gmt":"2023-01-27T11:52:23","slug":"pm-orders-to-replace-chitrals-outdated-power-grid-with-modern-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/pakistan-news\/pm-orders-to-replace-chitrals-outdated-power-grid-with-modern-system\/","title":{"rendered":"PM orders to replace Chitral\u2019s outdated power grid with modern system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday ordered to replace the outdated power grid of Chitral with modern infrastructure in order to ensure uninterrupted of electricity to residents.<\/p>\n<p>He directed the Ministry of Power to collaborate with Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Board and devise a strategy in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>Chairing a high-level meeting to address the problems of electricity in Chitral, the prime minister directed Minister for Power Khurram Dastagir Khan, and the Secretary Power Division to submit a report in this regard after holding a meeting in Peshawar.<\/p>\n<p>PM Shehbaz Sharif also stressed urgent measures to reduce power load-shedding in Chitral.<\/p>\n<p>He said ensuring facilities for the people of far-flung and underprivileged areas was the government\u2019s top priority.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by Power Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan, Chairman Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Lt Gen (Retd) Sajjad Ghani, the power secretary, and the representatives from Chitral.<\/p>\n<p>The residents of Chitral apprised the prime minister about the problems of load-shedding and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>They thanked Shehbaz Sharif for his personal interest in the relief and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people in Chitral.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister also directed the authorities concerned to submit him a report on the compensation money disbursed among the flood-hit people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday ordered to replace the outdated power grid of Chitral with modern infrastructure in order to ensure uninterrupted of electricity to residents.
