LAHORE, JAN 25 (Online): Local court of Lahore while granting transit remand of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has ordered for his medical checkup.
\nFawad Chaudhry was presented in the court of judicial magistrate Rana Mudassar Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Police requested the court to grant transit remand for shifting Fawad Chaudhry to Islamabad. <\/p>\n
The prosecution requested the court Kohsar Police Islamabad has registered case against Fawad Chaudhry. Therefore, transit remand be given to shift him to Islamabad.<\/p>\n
Counsel for Fawad Chaudhry while objecting to it said the distance of Islamabad is for 4 hours. What is need of transit remand for taking him to
\nIslamabad. They should go to Islamabad and present Fawad Chaudhry in the court. They want to take Fawad Chaudhry somewhere else by obtaining transit remand. <\/p>\n
The counsel for Fawad Chaudhry requested the hand cuffs of Fawad Chaudhry be removed. His one hand should be shackled rather than both hands. <\/p>\n
The court while reprimanding the lawyers of Fawad Chaudhry remarked why are you wasting time in meaningless things?<\/p>\n
The lawyers of Fawad Chaudhry requested his fetters be removed immediately. His habeas corpus petition is pending hearing in high court. <\/p>\n
The court should not hear the plea for transit remand unless the high court decision comes. <\/p>\n
The judicial magistrate while adjourning the hearing for some time accepted the plea for granting transit remand of Fawad Chaudhry. <\/p>\n
The court ordered his medical checkup be got done forthwith and he be sent to Islamabad. <\/p>\n
PTI arrested leader Fawad Chaudhry while talking to media men at the time of appearance in the court said police have been detailed as if I am James Bond.
\nI am proud of the case registered against me as the same case was registered against Nelson Mandella, he added. <\/p>\n
It is being said I have revolted. I am former federal minister and lawyer of Supreme Court. I should be treated with reverence. <\/p>\n
The way I was arrested was not proper, he remarked. They should telephone me and I could come to them. <\/p>\n
