PESHAWAR\/islamabad –\u00a0Prime\u00a0Minister Imran Khan on Monday reiterated his resolve to uphold transparency in the democratic system stating that his politics was aimed at serving the masses and working for the betterment of coming generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prime minister was talking to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet ministers and PTI\u2019s members of provincial assembly here at the Governor House. KP Governor Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan were also present on this occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prime minister said the political philosophy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was to serve the masses and work for the betterment of their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately, he said, some people joined politics to make money rather to serve the people. \u201cNow they have become an example,\u201d he remarked. The prime minister said when a nation lost morality, it was destined to doom. He said Pakistan, despite bestowed by Allah Almighty with every blessing lagged behind because its rulers instead of serving the masses used power to steal [public] money. The Prime Minister said we are taking measures to ensure transparency in every system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Monday. They discussed progress of the ongoing development projects in the province and political matters in the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked PTI candidate of Daska NA-75 bye-election to seek re-polling in the 20 polling stations. \u201cIt is because we want transparency that we are seeking open ballot for Senate elections\u201d, Prime Minister said in a tweet from his official handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister said even though there is no legal compulsion to do so before ECP announces results, PTI candidate of Daska NA-75 bye- election should ask for re-polling in the 20 polling stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0\u201cI have always struggled for fair and free elections\u201d, Imran Khan said adding that opposition is crying hoarse over in the by-elections in this constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said it is because we want transparency that we are seeking open ballot for Senate elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister\u2019 statement comes a day after PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz demanded the ECP to order re-election in entire NA-75 constituency and not only on 20 polling stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
