{"id":66052,"date":"2022-12-22T14:00:26","date_gmt":"2022-12-22T09:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=66052"},"modified":"2022-12-22T03:04:48","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T22:04:48","slug":"un-general-assembly-adopts-resolution-on-self-determination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/kashmir-latest-news\/un-general-assembly-adopts-resolution-on-self-determination\/","title":{"rendered":"UN General Assembly adopts resolution on Self-determination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad, Dec 21 (Online): The United Nations General Assembly has adopted Pakistan-sponsored resolution on \u201cUniversal Realization of the Right of the People to Self-determination\u201d.  72 countries from across the world co-sponsored this important resolution which was adopted by consensus.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution reaffirms unequivocal support for realization of the right to self-determination for peoples under foreign occupation, colonial domination, and subjugation. <\/p>\n<p>It firmly opposes acts of foreign occupation, intervention and aggression, and calls upon responsible States to immediately cease such acts.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan has been sponsoring this flagship resolution since 1970.
