ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (APP):Assistant Secretary General Organization of Islamic Countries OIC Ambassador Yousef Aldobeiy has reiterated that peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute is among the top priorities of OIC and unanimous efforts in this regard will constantly continue. <\/p>\n
The Assistant\u00e1Secretary General OIC stated this while talking to Advisor to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira here on Monday. The Secretary General was accompanied by a delegation during his official visit while top leadership of AJK political parties also joined the meeting.<\/p>\n
Assistant Secretary General OIC assured the political leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir of the OIC serious consideration of \u00e1the input received from the Kashmiri leadership. <\/p>\n
Underlining the importance of the visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, members of OIC delegation said that this visit will help them understand ground realities regrading Kashmir dispute in a better way. The delegation expressed their unflinching support for the Kashmir issue and highlighted that Action Plan of Contact Group of OIC on Kashmir is of great importance.<\/p>\n
Welcoming the ongoing visit of the Secretary General OIC, the Advisor said\u00e1that\u00e1the visit of Secretary General was of great importance for the people of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir, said a press release. <\/p>\n
Appreciating the role of OIC in its consistent support to the Kashmir cause, the Advisor said that OIC forum has great\u00e1importance\u00e1for the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)\u00e1who\u00e1look forward to this\u00e1forum with a great sense of hope for their future. <\/p>\n
He apprised the\u00e1delegation\u00e1regarding prevailing situation of human rights in IIOJK\u00e1and said\u00e1that India had been committing heinous crimes against humanity in IIOJK for last seven decades with impunity. The situation has worsened after Indian illegal and unilateral actions of August 05, 2019, he added. <\/p>\n
He\u00e1also\u00e1unveiled the Indian nefarious design of changing demography of IIOJK and said that Indian authorities have\u00e1recently\u00e1issued nearly 4 million domiciles to non-Kashmiris in order to\u00e1convert\u00e1Muslim majority into minority.<\/p>\n
The political leadership of Azad Jammu Kashmir also attended the meeting. President of PML-N Azad Jammu and Kashmir Shah Ghulam Qadir appreciated the proactive role of OIC regarding Kashmir dispute. He informed the delegation regarding miseries of divided families and told that thousands of others have lost their lives as result of unprovoked firing of Indian forces at LOC. <\/p>\n
Opposition leader AJK Assembly Ch. Latif Akbar highlighted the issue of incarcerated leaders of IIOJK in Indian jails and demanded OIC to take immediate notice in this grave issue. <\/p>\n
President Pakistan People Party Azad Jammu and Kashmir Ch. Muhammad Yaseen condemned the dual standards of international community on Kashmir issue and said that one hundred thousand Kashmiries have lost their lives since 1989.<\/p>\n
Sardar Hassan Ibrahim of Jammu & Kashmir People Party said that India was walking in the footsteps of Israel in order to change demography of IIOJK. He also emphasized on active role of Kashmir in OIC Contact Group of Kashmir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
