ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (Online): PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has taken the coalition partners into confidence on country political situation and the matter of key military appointment.<\/p>\n
PDM has agreed on it that powers for appointment of army chief as per law and constitution lie with the Prime Minister (PM). In this regard neither any demand of Imran Khan will be accepted nor will he be allowed to make leadership of defence and state institutions controversial. <\/p>\n
PML-N sources said PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif who is in London at present has contacted leaders of allied parties. Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif and Maryum Nawaz were also present during the contact process. <\/p>\n
Nawaz Sharif talked to former president Asif Ali Zardari, PDM chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mehmood Achakzai on the prevailing situation in the country. <\/p>\n
Sources told that the coalition government reiterated their resolve not to allow any bid to create chaos and disorder in the country. Protest, long march is right of Imran Khan but no compromise will be made on national security. <\/p>\n
Nawaz Sharif said Imran Khan wants to politicize an administrative matter. New appointment will be made on the basis of merit and transparency keeping in view the law and past traditions. <\/p>\n
Asif Zardari said Imran Khan wants to weaken defence institutions and national security by making this appointment controversial. No such bid will be allowed to succeed. <\/p>\n
Prime Minister (PM) said this man wants to make victim every institution and its leadership victim to his stubbornness. <\/p>\n
PDM leaders agreed on not accepting any pressure on the matter of new appointment. <\/p>\n
Sources said PM Shahbaz Sharif will convene PDM meeting on his return from London and take all of them on board. <\/p>\n
They also agreed on making all political decisions including general election with mutual consultation. <\/p>\n
Government sources told Online it was also agreed on gearing up legal proceedings on Imran Khan narrative against the national security. <\/p>\n
The allied parties demanded of Shahbaz Sharif to provide relief to the people to compete Imran Khan besides placing focus on improvement in economic situation in the country and curbing inflation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
