ISLAMABAD 12 Nov (Online): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has clarified that he is \u201cperfectly fine\u201d after a photograph (purportedly from his hospital visit in Rawalpindi) went viral late Friday night.<\/p>\n
Various social media accounts were circulating a picture of him lying on a hospital bed wearing a hospital gown and an oxygen mask.<\/p>\n
His followers speculated about his health condition and the reason for the \u201csudden hospital admission\u201d.<\/p>\n
In an audio message tweeted in the early hours of Saturday morning, he addressed those \u201cwho got a bit worried after seeing my picture from the operation theatre\u201d, telling that he was \u201cperfectly fine\u201d.<\/p>\n
He stated that the reason for his hospital visit was to get a \u201cminor procedure and a general checkup\u201d done that the doctors at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology deemed necessary and did in a \u201cstate-of-the-art\u201d manner.<\/p>\n
Sanaullah mentioned that he had had heart surgery in 2004 due to which, a minor procedure and a general checkup are needed every two to three years.<\/p>\n
He added that he had visited the hospital \u201ctwo to three times this year\u201d for this purpose.<\/p>\n
The interior minister further said that he would be given permission to be discharged \u201cwithin a day or two\u201d.<\/p>\n
He asked his friends to not rush to the hospital and that they would be \u201cmost welcomed\u201d once he returns home on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb had also posted clarifications regarding the matter.<\/p>\n
She emphasised that Sanaullah had gone for \u201ca routine checkup\u201d and that there was \u201cno truth to the speculations about his health.\u201d<\/p>\n
PML-N Faisalabad\u2019s account tweeted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted Sanaullah and expressed satisfaction over his recovering health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
