LAHORE 10 Nov (Online): Malala and Asser Malik have been married a whole year and with someone as highly regarded globally as her, speculations about her partner were bound to be made. The couple made a fun video of them reacting to comments left by other people and they discussed Malik\u2019s name, his attractiveness and feminism, with a joke or two between the partners.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, they shared the video of them seated side by side captioned, \u201cSome important news on our first anniversary.\u201d They tried to enact a joint prank on the audience by trying to make it sound like what they were going to discuss was something serious. They started out strong, \u201cThere\u2019s something really important we need to tell you\u201d but soon their words stumbled and out came the bloopers, \u201cwe\u2019ve been married for one year and on our anniversary-\u201d, \u201c\u2019cause this is serious,\u201d before they finally said that they want to address some comments.<\/p>\n
Reading off a card, Malala said, \u201cI can\u2019t wait for everyone who, not wrongly, fancies Malala\u2019s husband to say he isn\u2019t worth sh*t when they find out he\u2019s 5\u20197.\u201d<\/p>\n
Correcting the person, Malik responded, \u201cGuys, I\u2019m 5\u201911, okay, 5\u201911.\u201d Malala cheekily added, \u201cBut not 6.\u201dMalik read the next comment. \u201cPaul Rudd is the sexiest man alive. Me and every woman I know: actually Malala\u2019s husband,\u201d he said. \u201cif you\u2019re listening,\u201d he hinted at a feature as a magazine (People Magazine) with him on the cover made its way across the screen.<\/p>\n
Malala was looking forward to reading the next one and we see why. \u201cMalala\u2019s husband is so hot, I can\u2019t believe growing up people said boys wouldn\u2019t like you if you\u2019re a feminist and then Malala said actually that\u2019s not true,\u201d she read, amused.<\/p>\n
The next one could either have been a light roast or something wholesome \u2014 Malik decided to choose the latter. \u201cMalala\u2019s husband really is tagging along to all important events with her, taking pics must be so fun for him,\u201d he paused before adding a matter-of-fact \u201cyeah\u201d.<\/p>\n
The last one sought to alter Malik\u2019s name as being married to Malala has become a huge part of his identity, especially where the public is concerned. \u201cFrom now on can everyone refer to Malala\u2019s husband as Malala\u2019s husband or perhaps he can change his last name to Malala because I have forgotten his name already,\u201d read Malala. \u201cGuys I thought we were calling him Mr Malala,\u201d she responded humorously.<\/p>\n
The last one was Malik taking a playful dig at his wife. \u201cThis one might be the worst one yet,\u201d he said before reading something no one but him could have written. \u201cWhy does Malala overpack her suitcases every single time and make her husband carry them?\u201d<\/p>\n
Half laughing she responded, \u201cStop it, stop making up [things]\u201d while he also laughed before the video ended.<\/p>\n
The couple tied the knot in November last year. Malik, the general manager of the PCB\u2019s High Performance Centre, and Malala, the Nobel laureate, had a small nikkah ceremony at the Yousafzai residence in Birmingham.<\/p>\n
