BOLLYWOOD 18 Oct (Online): Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma\u2019s upcoming sports drama, Chakda \u2018Xpress, a biopic on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami\u2019s athletic career, features an exciting match, the nail-biting, India Pakistan match. Some new behind-the-scenes pictures from the film\u2019s shooting show glimpses of a sweaty Anushka filming a sequence for the famous rivals clashing on the field.<\/p>\n
On Monday, several Indian publications shared images from the ongoing shoot of Chakda \u2018Xpress at Kolkata\u2019s Eden Gardens Stadium. One of the pictures featured a sweaty Anushka preparing for a shot with a woman dressed in the background in Pakistan\u2019s cricket team colours. Another showed her surrounded by crew members with the director Prosit Roy giving her directions.<\/p>\n
Indian box offices haven\u2019t really loved biopics on women cricketers if you look at the history. Chakda \u2018XPress follows a similar storyline to that of Shabaash Mithu, where Taapsee Pannu essayed the role of the legendary pacer Mithali Raj. However, it failed to perform at the box office commercially just like another biopic of a leading Indian sports star, Parineeti Chopra\u2019s Saina. On the other hand, the MS Dhoni biopic starring Sushant Singh Rajput was a big box-office success.<\/p>\n
On the work front, Chakda \u2018Xpress will be Anushka\u2019s first film since 2018\u2019s Zero. The actor took some time off after the birth of her daughter, Vamika. While she has been away from acting, Anushka collaborated on the horror movie Pari, and later produced the crime drama series Paatal Lok. <\/p>\n
