ISLAMABAD (ONLINE) Three bills passed in the session of the National Assembly on Tuesday, including the Federal Medical Teaching Institute Act 2021 Repeal Bill, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) reorganization Bill 2022 and Amendment of Article 510 of the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n
These bills have already been passed by the Senate, while the other bills were sent to the relevant committees after the ministers did not oppose them.<\/p>\n
The session of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Acting Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani.<\/p>\n
Abdul Qadir Mandokhel presented the constitutional amendment bill to amend Article 204 and 209 of the Constitution of Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The constitutional amendment bill was not opposed by the government. The bill dealing with equal treatment in the case of contempt of court was not opposed by the government. The bill was referred to the relevant standing committee.<\/p>\n
Abdul Akbar Chitrali introduced an amendment to the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961. The bill was not opposed by the government.<\/p>\n
The bill was sent to the relevant standing committee for further action. The House of National Assembly passed the bill to repeal the Federal Medical Teaching Institute Act, 2021. <\/p>\n
This bill has already been passed by the Senate of Pakistan. The House has passed the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Reorganization Bill 2022. <\/p>\n
The House sent the National Commission for Children’s Rights Amendment Bill to the relevant Standing Committee, the government did not oppose the National Commission for Children’s Rights Amendment Bill. <\/p>\n
Qadir Khan Mandokhel introduced a bill to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, the bill was not opposed by the government, the bill was further referred to the concerned Standing Committee for action, constituted by the National Assembly. <\/p>\n
The amendment in Article 510 of the Criminal Code also passed, the Senate has already passed the amendment bill in the Criminal Code, Minister of State Shahadat Awan said that he will not oppose the bill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
