ISLAMABAD, Sep 16 (APP): Turkish security forces \u201cneutralized\u201d two YPG\/PKK terrorists in northern Syria, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s National Defense Ministry said on Friday.<\/p>\n
The terrorists were planning an attack on the Operation Peace Spring zone, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s cross-border anti-terror push, according to the ministry.<\/p>\n
Turkish authorities use the term \u201cneutralize\u201d to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.<\/p>\n
Since 2016, Ankara has launched a trio of successful anti-terror operations across its border in northern Syria to prevent the formation of a terror corridor and enable the peaceful settlement of residents: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), and Peace Spring (2019).<\/p>\n
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against T\u00fcrkiye, the PKK \u2013 listed as a terrorist organization by T\u00fcrkiye, the US and EU \u2013 has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
