Sohbat Pur, Sep 14 (Online): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said electricity bills for the months from August to \tSeptember will not be received from the flood affectees. <\/p>\n

\u201cFAC upto consumption of 300 units was abolished in the month of September too. Electricity bill for the months of August and September will not be received from flood victims Federal government has preferred state to politics, he said this while talking to media persons during a visit to rains and flood-affected district of Sohbatpur in Balochistan on Wednesday <\/p>\n

He went on to say the devastation caused by floods have opened eyes of every Pakistani. District Sohbatpur remained the worst hit area by the floods. Water was everywhere in the district and drinking water is the largest challenge in the district, he added. <\/p>\n

He underlined federal and provincial governments in collaboration with Pakistan Army are working to provide relief to people in flood-affected areas across the country.<\/p>\n

He said 24 billion rupees cash assistance has so far been disbursed through Benazir Income Support Programme among the flood-affected families.<\/p>\n

Shehbaz Sharif said floods have damaged the power transmission system, roads infrastructure and internet.<\/p>\n

Earlier, during the briefing, the Prime Minister directed to expedite process for drainage of water in flood-affected areas besides restoration of basic infrastructure.<\/p>\n
