ISLAMABAD, AUG 23 (Online): Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has remarked some particular persons have made the state crippled. <\/p>\n
He further remarked this is a matter of grave concern. How the system will run if the institutions are continued to be threatened this way. <\/p>\n
He observed can such statements be expected from a person who has remained Prime Minister of the country. Who will stop such steps? How the country will run if state institutions don\u2019t work. <\/p>\n
He further remarked this is not matter of a woman judge but it is matter of entire judiciary. The entire judicial system has been put at stake due to such threats. <\/p>\n
He gave these remarks while presiding over a 3 member\u2019s larger bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the course of hearing of contempt of court case against Imran Khan Tuesday.
\nThe other judges are Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Babar Sattar. <\/p>\n
Advocate General (AG) Islamabad told the court miscellaneous petition has been submitted. If you think so then we will file. <\/p>\n
The court inquired during the hearing of the case when these controversial remarks were expressed. <\/p>\n
AG told the court the controversial remarks were given in August 20 public rally.<\/p>\n
AG read out the statement given by Imran Khan in public meeting at F-9 park. <\/p>\n

AG told the court judicial magistrate Zeba Chaudhry had heard Shahbaz Gill case. The judicial magistrate granted physical remand of Shahbaz Gill again to police. The statements from the office bearers of any party against the institutions should be stopped. <\/p>\n
The court inquired how anyone can give remarks in case pending hearing. Even the court cannot interfere in the cases under hearing. <\/p>\n
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked it seems from the way AG is giving remarks as if the case has been filed by him.<\/p>\n
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked how the system will run if the courts are continued to be threatened this way. A female additional session\u2019s judge was called by her name. This is not only the matter of a female judge but it is the matter of judges of entire country. If some judge gives decision against anyone then all will start making speeches against him. Where the common man is being led to. You want people make the decision of their cases on their own. Such statement cannot be expected from the person who has remained the Prime Minister (PM) of the country. The entire judicial system has been put at stake due to threats to the judiciary. Today there is one government. Tomorrow it will go then will it give threats. How can the civil judge, magistrate or superior judiciary be targeted. <\/p>\n
The court inquired AG should tell will show cause notice be issued in this matter or only notice will be taken. <\/p>\n
AG told the court he has targeted the institutions as head of a political party. The judicial magistrate name was mentioned in the public meeting. In such circumstances show cause notice is issued. <\/p>\n
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked some people think no one can do anything to them. The people will be expressing their ire on social media still. When there is your government then why you don\u2019t stop such steps. <\/p>\n
Such matters are not only limited to Islamabad only. Civil bureaucracy and IG were also given threat. Have the police not to work. The effects of such statements have to be seen as per law. <\/p>\n
The court while issuing notice to Imran Khan has directed him to appear before it in person on August 31.<\/p>\n
The court also sought all the record pertaining to speeches from PEMRA.
