{"id":53915,"date":"2022-08-04T08:30:10","date_gmt":"2022-08-04T03:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=53915"},"modified":"2022-08-04T02:11:55","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T21:11:55","slug":"finance-minster-presides-over-spectrum-auction-advisory-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/latest-business-news\/finance-minster-presides-over-spectrum-auction-advisory-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Finance Minster presides over spectrum auction advisory committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad, August 3, 2022 (Online): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail presided over the first meeting of spectrum auction advisory committee for improvement of mobile broadband services in Pakistan at Finance Division today. <\/p>\n<p>Minister for Information Technology and Telecom Amin-ul-Haq, Minister of Economic Affairs Divison Sardar Ayaz Sadia, Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Power Mr. Khurram Dastgir Khan, Coordinator to the PM on Commerce &#038; Industry Rana Ihsan Afzal, Chairman PTA and other senior officers attended the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The committee was briefed about demand and supply and recommendations of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for release of available spectrum for Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS) in Pakistan.<br \/>\nIt was also shared that 4G penetration is spectacularly increasing in the country which is really good for the development of the IT-related infrastructure in the county.  <\/p>\n<p>The Finance Minister shared that present government is aiming at improving the mobile broadband services in Pakistan as this sector contributes heavily in the development of the country.
