ISLAMABD, July 26 (Online): Irfan Qadir counsel for deputy speaker Punjab Assembly (PA) Dost Muhammad Mazari has said Supreme Court (SC) is not authorized to interfere in parliament. <\/p>\n
\u201cwe have right to boycott the proceeding on the decision of full court, he said this while talking to media men outside SC here Tuesday. <\/p>\n
When proceeding of the case started I requested the 3-member bench of SC that boycott of court\u2019s proceedings is running due to non constitution of full bench on Monday. My client has directed me not to become part of court\u2019s proceedings. <\/p>\n
He went on to say we have constitutional right with reference to full court. The right to file review petition be given to us. <\/p>\n
Our stance was and will remain constitutional, he said adding SC has no right to interfere in parliament. Parliament should be strengthened and stabilized. The SC can interfere in the cases wherein the parliament is strengthened. But the majority in parliament should not be made hostage to the minority. This is not SC powers. <\/p>\n
To a question he said will you want your case is fixed before a judge who is being boycotted by million of people. I have remained judge. I left the bench where a shred of doubt was expressed by any one. Here the problem of entire Pakistan is involved which is being heard by three judges. 6 days have been spent on one session.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
