HOLLYWOOD 08 July (Online): James Caan: Hollywood celebrities remember legendary Godfather star.<\/p>\n
Al Pacino, Adam Sandler and other Hollywood celebrities recently paid their tributes to the iconic actor James Caan on social media.<\/p>\n
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Caan\u2019s rep revealed that The Godfather\u2019s star died on Wednesday night at 82. The news was confirmed by a Twitter post from his family however, they did not disclose the cause of death.<\/p>\n
Al Pacino, who played the lead role of Michael Corleone in The Godfather penned a heartfelt note about Caan.<\/p>\n
\u201cJimmy was my fictional brother and my lifelong friend. It\u2019s hard to believe that he won\u2019t be in the world anymore because he was so alive and daring. A great actor, a brilliant director and my dear friend. I\u2019m gonna miss him.\u201d <\/p>\n
To this end, Robert De Niro also added, \u201cI\u2019m very, very sad to hear about Jimmy\u2019s passing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sandler, who worked with Caan on Bulletproof turned to Twitter and wrote \u201cLoved him very much. Always wanted to be like him. So happy I got to know him. Never ever stopped laughing when I was around that man. His movies were best of the best. We all will miss him terribly. Thinking of his family and sending my love.\u201d<\/p>\n
Arnold Schwarzenegger, who appeared with Caan on Eraser praised about his talent and sense of humour, adding, \u201cHe was a true friend, and I\u2019ll miss him\u201d.<\/p>\n
