{"id":48164,"date":"2022-06-08T03:30:43","date_gmt":"2022-06-07T22:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=48164"},"modified":"2022-06-08T03:09:56","modified_gmt":"2022-06-07T22:09:56","slug":"pti-government-set-to-present-first-annual-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/kashmir-latest-news\/pti-government-set-to-present-first-annual-budget\/","title":{"rendered":"PTI government set to present first annual budget"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD (PID, AJK) The PTI government led by Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas is all set to present its first annual budget for the financial year 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p>Preparations are underway to give final touch to the budget. Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has issued special instructions to the finance ministry and other relevant authorities for making a progressive, development oriented and people friendly budget.  As per the PM\u2019s directives public welfare projects have been given top priority in the new budget, whereas, a greater share of the budget is being allocated to improve education, health, and road infrastructure in the state. In order to provide the provision of basic amenities and relief to the common masses, the government has planned to increase the budget of the Department of Local Government. Likewise, the government\u2019s focus is to meet basic requirements of the education institutions.  <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, to avoid unnecessary expenditure details of miscellaneous expenditure are being collected from all the institutions of Azad Kashmir for this purpose. And efforts are afoot to strike a balance between the development and non-development budgets to ensure that every single penny is spent on the welfare of common masses. Moreover, the government has been mulling over initiating development projects that besides increasing revenue would create employment opportunities in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The budget for the fiscal year 2022-23, which is due to be presented this month, will hopefully boost economic growth as special focus has been given on self-reliance policy including development of tourism and hydro power generation.<\/p>\n<p>Pertinently, the Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has decided not to take monthly salary or any other benefit from the national exchequer whereas the consultation process continues with regard to slashing of perks and privileges of the government ministers and secretaries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD (PID, AJK) The PTI government led by Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas is all set to present its first annual budget for the financial year 2022-23.
