LONDON (PNI) Lauding Pakistan for its grand hosting of the 48th session of OIC Foreign Ministers in Islamabad, Kashmiri activist in the UK on Tuesday urged the top Muslim bloc to “walk the talk on Kashmir.”<\/p>\n
In a statement from London, Fahim Kayani, president of Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK) UK, said Pakistan hosting the summit is a vote of confidence in the leadership and people of the country from the Muslim world.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is not a hidden truth that all anti-Pakistan powers came together to hurt interests of Pakistan but the OIC summit happening in Pakistan brings back to fore the important position of Islamabad in the international affairs,\u201d the TeK UK leader said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is an honor for Pakistan to host officials of all Muslim countries when the country will be celebrating its 75th resolution Day on March 23,\u201d said Kayani.<\/p>\n
Pointing to statements made by Pakistan leadership at the OIC Foreign Minister\u2019s summit, the TeK UK leader said: \u201cthe speech made by Prime Minister Imran Khan has shown mirror to the Muslim bloc as how diverging interests of member states of the OIC has led to unfulfillment of objectives of the Muslim world.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe role of OIC is very important and significant if it acts,\u201d said the statement. \u201cIt is world\u2019s second largest multi-national body comprising of 57 nations which means it can have huge impact if it walks the talk.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe division among the OIC members has led occupying nations like India and Israel exploit this situation and cement their colonization of Kashmir and Palestine,\u201d Kayani added.<\/p>\n
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was \u201cright when he said OIC has failed Kashmiris.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTime is running fast and the inability of the OIC to act according to international law, UN and its own resolutions only raise questions about the feasibility of the organization,\u201d Kayani said.<\/p>\n
Urging \u201cstrategy and actionable motion\u201d on Kashmir by the OIC, Kayani said India earns more than around $34 billion from gulf countries every year in remittances only.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis means gulf countries, which are all Muslim nations, have huge influence on Indians but little do these gulf nations know that the money earned in their lands is misused against Muslims and Kashmiris by India,\u201d the TeK UK leader added.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis money lands in the coffers of fascist RSS and its lynchpin BJP which has wreaked havoc against Kashmiris and Muslims,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The TeK UK leader said the OIC must take notice of such money flow and \u201cit could be well used to hold accountable for its war crimes and crimes against humanity inflicted on Indian Muslims and Kashmiris.\u201d<\/p>\n
On ending occupation of Kashmir by India, Kayani suggested that the OIC is in \u201cgood position to move a motion against India at the UN and hold it accountable for genocide and war crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is need to move beyond statements and condemnations; our youth who are being subjugated by the Indian fascist military in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIoJK) look towards the OIC leadership for ending this illegal and inhuman occupation,\u201d said Kayani, urging the OIC to take a serious notice of aspirations of people of IIoJK.<\/p>\n
The struggle for right to self-determination in IIoJK has strong basis, said the TeK UK leader, \u201cit is mere action that is required from the OIC to free people from fascist Indian occupation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
