FAISALABAD \u2013 February 9 (ONLINE): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday came hard at opposition parties, calling their leadership \u2018dacoits\u2019 and \u2018thieves\u2019, and maintained that any \u2018looter\u2019 will not be spared.<\/p>\n
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of National Health Card Programme in Faisalabad Division, the premier said that corrupt leaders, who had looted the national exchequer during their tenures, had ganged up fearing they might be sentenced in their cases of corruption.<\/p>\n
\u201cOpposition leaders, who had earlier boasted to \u2018tear up each other\u2019s bellies to recover looted money\u2019 have now joined hands before any verdict is announced on their pending corruption cases.\u201d The Prime Minister said.<\/p>\n
He said that person who had gone to London for medical treatment was visiting factories. “Some lawyers are saying that his lifetime disqualification should be abolished. He should return and restart his plunder,” he added, talking about former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. <\/p>\n
\u201cThose claiming of tearing the belly are now matching their bellies. They will have to go jail no matter whatever they do. They are getting long postponement,” he maintained.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Naya Pakistan National Health Card program is a major step towards transforming Pakistan as a welfare state on the pattern of \u2018Riasat-e-Madina\u2019. <\/p>\n
The Prime Minister said that a huge amount of four hundred billion rupees is being spent on revolutionary project of the health sector in Punjab only. \u201cKeeping in view the economic condition of the country; it was not an easy task to launch such a revolutionary project for the provision of quality health treatment free of cost to the common man\u201d he maintained.<\/p>\n
Imran Khan said that the private sector will set up hospitals in small cities and villages under the Health Card project for the provision of medical treatment to the masses at their door steps.<\/p>\n
He said that the government is fully aware about its responsibilities to facilitate the women population and in this regard, more measures will be taken for their protection and granting them more rights. Supremacy of law is the basis for progress of any state as in all developed countries rule of law is superior to personalities, he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
