{"id":35193,"date":"2022-01-26T14:30:32","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T09:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=35193"},"modified":"2022-01-26T13:57:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T08:57:52","slug":"nosham-coalfield-geological-maps-technical-reports-compilation-in-final-phase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/latest-business-news\/nosham-coalfield-geological-maps-technical-reports-compilation-in-final-phase\/","title":{"rendered":"Nosham Coalfield: Geological maps, technical report\u2019s compilation in final phase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Jan 26 (APP):The geological experts have completed mapping of Nosham area of Balochistan under a coal exploration and evaluation project, and now \u201cthe compilation of geological maps and technical report is in progress and near completion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInitial study of maps, toposheets, aerial photographs and satellite imageries has been completed and the data has been transferred from aerial photographs\/satellite imageries onto toposheets,\u201d according to an official report available with APP.<\/p>\n<p>The Rs42.318 million project titled \u201cExploration and Evaluation of Coal in Nosham and Bahlol Areas, Balochistan\u201d had been approved in 2017.<br \/>\nAs per the project update, drilling of three borehole at Nosham area, Barkhan District has been completed to the cumulative depth of 778 meters, where coal seams encountered at different depths.<\/p>\n<p>Making advancement in the project, the experts have also completed geological logging of exploratory borehole\/logs, besides concluding geophysical survey (Resistivity) in the project area.<\/p>\n<p>The experts have measured five stratigraphic sections, following which compilation of the field data, analyzed and integrated at field labs items to prepare the required geological maps, was initiated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe attained samples have been analysed.
