LONDON (PNI) It is matter of time when India will be held accountable for its war crimes in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the atrocities it commits against its minorities.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndia may yet try to portray herself as so-called democratic nation because of its vast human resource and soft power spread across the globe but we are witnessing as how this mask is being taken down by people of conscience,\u201d said Raja Fahim Kayani, president Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK.<\/p>\n
Kayani was referring to warning issued by Genocide Watch president Gregory Stanton who the early warning signs were visible in India and that a genocide could well happen here.<\/p>\n
Early, Stanton\u2019s prediction about Rwandan genocide warning has proved right.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndia had until now succeeded to hide its real basis as a nation which is based on hate for Muslims and all those non-Hindus who seek to live according to their own faith,\u201d said Kayani.<\/p>\n
He said it is India\u2019s people in academic, think tanks and media who have been propagating so-called secular and democratic face of the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe truth is that at the turn of every decade since 1947, one or the other anti-Muslim pogrom has happened in India but because of this vast propaganda machinery of India, based in every capital, India has been able to sidestep such important questions that highly violate human rights and international law,\u201d Kayani said.<\/p>\n
He said the violation of UN resolutions on Kashmir and denial of right to self-determination to people of IIoJK by India is biggest violation by any international standard.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut, why is New Delhi being given soft passage by world powers is because India is a lynchpin of the United States against China else India is violating all norms of civility and human rights every day,\u201d Kayani said.<\/p>\n
Kayani recalled Stanton had already warned that India has crossed all stages of genocide in IIoJK.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is world waiting for? To see mass murder of innocent Kashmiris,\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n
Not just that India is committing war crimes in IIoJK, Kayani said: \u201cwithout any shame, India is enabling disinformation and using its vast media empire to criminalize any voice that seeks to hold India accountable for violating universal fundamental rights.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK president also lauded UK-based Stoke White and Pakistan-based Legal Forum for Kashmir to launching a lawsuit against Indian Home Minister and Indian Military chief.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is about time and efforts that Indian state and its officials will be arrested tried and held accountable for occupying IIoJK and persecuting its innocent people,\u201d Kayani said.<\/p>\n
“The UK government must take notice of such crimes, as evidence filed by the law firms show, and take immediate action to put Indian embassy on notice and arrest any Indian official related to these war crimes,” Kayani said. <\/p>\n
He said scope of such efforts need to expanded. \u201cKashmiri groups and their allies need to put their hands and minds together and amplify such efforts\u2026 The battle ahead may not be easy but it is not impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
