{"id":33702,"date":"2022-01-14T01:00:22","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T20:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=33702"},"modified":"2022-01-14T00:29:11","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T19:29:11","slug":"we-have-made-you-the-pm-pervaiz-khattak-criticises-pm-imran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/top-news\/we-have-made-you-the-pm-pervaiz-khattak-criticises-pm-imran\/","title":{"rendered":"We have made you the PM, Pervaiz Khattak criticises PM Imran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad-January 13 (Online): Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Thursday criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan amid worst ongoing gas crisis in the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to media report, during the parliamentary party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, harsh words were exchanged between Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar and Defense Minister Pervez Khattak on the issue of gas. <\/p>\n<p>Following the heated debate the defense minister left the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>During the parliamentary party meeting, Pervez Khattak also criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cWe have made you the Prime Minister.\u201d He said there is a ban on gas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that despite producing the gas and electricity we are being oppressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this is your attitude then we will not be able to vote,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan said, \u201cIf you are not satisfied with me, I will hand over the government to someone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talking to media after the meeting, the defense minister said that he hadn\u2019t left the meeting in anger but came out of the room to smoke.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar said that the participants questioned about gas in the meeting and he remained successful in satisfying the parliamentary party members.<\/p>\n<p>He said Prime Minister Imran Khan told the meeting that gas reserves in the country were dwindling and domestic demand will be met by importing gas.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, during the meeting, the MQM discussed tax amendments in the mini-budget and demanded that basic necessities should not be taxed, to which the prime minister replied that we are aware of the plight of the people and the government will not impose additional taxes.<\/p>\n<p>Sources further said that during the meeting, PTI MNA Noor Alam also questioned whether the state institutions would be affected by the SBP s autonomy or not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad-January 13 (Online): Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Thursday criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan amid worst ongoing gas crisis in the country.
