Lahore December 13 (Online): Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar paid a successful visit to the UK after which, more than 20 British members of Parliament announced to visit Pakistan. <\/p>\n

Chaudhry Sarwar also gave a briefing on his visit to UK and Turkey during his meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan at Governor House.
\nPrime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the successful visit of Governor Punjab to UK. <\/p>\n

According to the details , the Governor called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Governor House Lahore on Monday and briefed Prime Minister about his meetings with the Speaker, Ministers, Lords, Members of Parliament and more than 100 other personalities during his stay in the UK. <\/p>\n

During the briefing, the Governor Punjab informed Prime Minister Imran Khan that during the visit, discussions were held on Pakistan’s initiative for peace in Afghanistan, Billion Tree Project, Pak-UK relations and other issues and briefed them about steps being taken by Pakistan to bring peace and eradicate terrorism. <\/p>\n

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar further said in a briefing to Prime Minister Imran Khan that more than 20 ministers from UK, members of Parliament, and Lords from various political parties are visiting Pakistan and these visits will commence this month. <\/p>\n

The British MPs also appreciated Pakistan’s Billion Tree project and other steps taken by Pakistan to curb the Coronavirus pandemic, including the Smart Lockdown.<\/p>\n

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar during the meeting apprised Prime Minister Imran Khan about Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority that is working on more than 1500 projects in Lahore and other cities and rural areas through which Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority will provide clean drinking water to about 8 million people of Punjab by the end of this month, and with the collaboration of NGOs, almost the same number of people will be provided clean drinking water and full steps are being taken to bring reforms to the universities.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan stands with peace, and has made sacrifices for the eradication of terrorism and Pakistan is also playing its role for peace in Afghanistan.
