ISLAMABAD, :Renowned Film actor and filmmaker \u2018Waheed Murad\u2019 was remembred on his 37th death anniversary on November 23 to pay glowing tribute to his services for cinema screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Murad, who is famously known as the \u2018Chocolate Hero\u2019 of Pakistan, passed away on November 23, 1983, at 45 years of age. He was not only a gifted actor but also enjoyed quite a reputation as a director, producer and scriptwriter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born on October 2, 1938, in Sialkot, the artist is known for his phenomenal acting and his charming personality. Apart from that, he also served the Pakistani entertainment industry through production and scriptwriting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He graduated from SM Arts College Karachi and then earned a master\u2019s degree in English literature from the University of Karachi, PTV news reported.
He began his film career with the movie \u2018Olad\u2019 in 1962 in which he acted as a supporting actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He started working as a producer at his father\u2019s established \u2018Film Art\u2019 in 1961. As a producer, his first film was Insaan badalta hai in 1961.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He produced famous films like \u2018Diamond and Stone\u2019 in 1964, where he played the main character for the first time and settled into the hearts of all fans in his most unique, mischievous, and romantic way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Murad has appeared in 125 feature films. His film, Armaan, achieved great success. Some of his successful films include, \u2018Arman\u2019, \u2018Daiwar Bhabhi\u2019, \u2018Darpan\u2019, \u2018Duraha\u2019, \u2018Jaha Tum Waha Hum, \u2018Anjuman\u2019, and \u2018Olad\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The songs that were filmed on him are still famous, including \u201cKoko Korina\u201d, \u201cAkelay na Jana\u201d, \u201cMje tum nazar sy gira tw rhy ho\u201d, \u201cAe Abre Karam aj tw etne baras\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to his incredible acting, he has achieved 32 film awards.
