However, the cause of his death was not immediately disclosed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"463\" data-end=\"600\">Jim Carrey, who played the lead role in <em data-start=\"503\" data-end=\"513\">The Mask<\/em>, expressed deep sorrow over Russell\u2019s death, saying it was an honour to work with him.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"839\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Carrey said Russell created a joyful and childlike creative atmosphere on the set of <em data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"697\">The Mask<\/em>.
