Islamabad: The Education Testing Council (ETC), the examination entity of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, and Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to conduct the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) for Fall 2026 admissions.<\/p>\n

The MoU signing ceremony was held at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in the presence of senior officials from both institutions. Representatives of ETC HEC and QAU reaffirmed their commitment to promoting transparency, fairness, and merit in the undergraduate admissions process through a standardized testing mechanism.<\/p>\n

Under this collaboration, USAT will serve as the admission test for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate degree programmes at Quaid-i-Azam University. The test will be offered across six USAT categories, enabling students from diverse academic streams to compete for admission in their respective disciplines.<\/p>\n

To facilitate aspiring students nationwide, ETC HEC will conduct USAT in 12 cities across Pakistan, allowing candidates to appear for the test closer to their hometowns. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility, reduce travel-related challenges, and encourage broader participation in higher education.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of both institutions emphasised that the partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening quality assurance and ensuring a transparent, merit-based admissions framework. The collaboration is expected to provide students with equal opportunities and a standardised pathway to pursue higher education at one of Pakistan’s leading universities.<\/p>\n
