Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, presented the diverse collection spanning Japan&#8217;s history, politics, economy, security, international relations, philosophy, literature, language, culture and more to Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, AIOU Vice-Chancellor during a hand over ceremony held on May 12.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-123894\" src=\"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/japan1-300x164.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/japan1-300x164.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/japan1.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the same day, the Japan Pakistan Advancement Center (JPAC) was inaugurated, aimed at fostering Japanese language, cultural, academic exchanges, promoting employment and entrepreneurship.<br \/>\nFederal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, H.E. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, also graced the occasion with his kind presence.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Akamatsu congratulated students and faculty, stating, &#8220;books are bridges of knowledge that allow you to explore the rich tapestry of Japan, understand our perspectives, and even inspire new ideas and innovations here in Pakistan.&#8221; He praised JPAC as a key step to strengthen Japan-Pakistan ties in terms of education, employment, and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-123895\" src=\"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/japan2-300x164.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/japan2-300x164.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/japan2.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood expressed sincere gratitude to the Nippon Foundation and the Embassy of Japan, noting the donation of books would help students learn about Japan and enhance bilateral relations.
