He noted that the expanded and more diverse membership would strengthen the PBA\u2019s ability to advance a <strong data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1172\">National Economic Agenda<\/strong>, with a focus on bridging credit gaps in priority sectors, accelerating financial inclusion through digital channels, and supporting Pakistan\u2019s sustainable economic recovery.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1606\">The leadership team also includes <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1399\">Nassir Salim<\/strong>, President and Chief Executive Officer of <strong data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1464\">Habib Bank Limited<\/strong>, as <strong data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1493\">Senior Vice Chairman<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1517\">Yousaf Hussain<\/strong>, President and Chief Executive Officer of <strong data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1583\">Faysal Bank Limited<\/strong>, as <strong data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1605\">Vice Chairman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1928\">On the occasion, Nassir Salim emphasized the need for resilience and robust compliance frameworks in light of ongoing global economic challenges, while Yousaf Hussain highlighted modernization, technology adoption, and agility as key priorities to ensure the banking sector remains innovative and regionally competitive.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2240\">Commenting on the milestone, <strong data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1975\">Muneer Kamal<\/strong>, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the PBA, said the expansion of the Executive Committee \u2014 including the historic inclusion of female representation \u2014 reflects the association\u2019s commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and modern governance practices.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2569\">Under the new leadership, the PBA aims to deepen collaboration with the <strong data-start=\"2314\" data-end=\"2340\">State Bank of Pakistan<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2346\" data-end=\"2369\">Ministry of Finance<\/strong>, and the federal government to support infrastructure development, expand private sector credit for agriculture and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and advance Pakistan\u2019s digital transformation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Dec 28 (APP): The Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) has elected and constituted a new 16-member Executive Committee, marking a significant step toward greater inclusivity and broader representation within the banking industry.
