LAHORE, Dec 06 (APP): A delegation of Anjuman-e-Tajiran Container Market Daroghawala called on the President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, and assured their full cooperation while expressing solidarity with the Chamber\u2019s initiatives. Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mian Anjum Nisar, and Senior Vice President LCCI, Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, were also present at the meeting.<\/p>\n
The delegation, led by its President Mian Sagheer Ur Rehman, included Vice President Mahboob Subhani, Finance Secretary Abdul Majeed, General Secretary Rana Riaz, Additional Secretary Hamid Mehmood Gujar, Ali Musa, Rameez Dewan, and other office-bearers. Members of the LCCI Executive Committee \u2014 Rana Nisar, Shouban Akhtar, and Sheikh Muhammad Fayaz \u2014 also attended the session.<\/p>\n
The delegation briefed the LCCI President on the issues being faced by traders in the Container Market, particularly matters related to the Customs Department and various business challenges. They highlighted delays in customs clearance, additional procedural complexities, and inadequate communication, noting that these hurdles were causing financial losses to the business community.<\/p>\n
LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, after hearing the concerns, assured the delegation that the Chamber remains fully committed to protecting traders\u2019 rights. He stated that previous meetings with relevant customs officials had already paved the way for resolving several issues, and the Chamber would continue these efforts consistently. He emphasized that the business community is the backbone of the national economy, and addressing their concerns is a shared responsibility.<\/p>\n
Vice President SAARC Chamber, Mian Anjum Nisar, said the Lahore Chamber has always stood with the business community, adding that strengthening relations with regulatory bodies remains one of its top priorities. He pledged that the concerns of Container Market traders would be actively taken up and their voice would be raised at every appropriate platform.<\/p>\n
Trader representatives appreciated the positive efforts of the Lahore Chamber and said the business community has high expectations from the current LCCI leadership.
