At the same event, President Xi formally announced the new assistance package of US$100 million.<\/p>\n<p>Lin Jian noted that it has been <strong>over two years since the latest conflict in Gaza began<\/strong>, resulting in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. China remains deeply concerned. Since the outbreak of the conflict, China has provided <strong>multiple batches of humanitarian supplies<\/strong> to Gaza through the UN, Egypt, Jordan, and other channels\u2014aid that has been welcomed and appreciated by the Palestinian government and people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe the latest assistance worth US$100 million, announced by President Xi Jinping and dedicated to humanitarian relief and post-conflict reconstruction, will help improve Gaza\u2019s humanitarian situation and reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people,\u201d Lin added.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson said President Xi has described the Palestinian question as <strong>a test of the global governance system<\/strong>, urging the international community to confront the root causes of the conflict, assume responsibility, and take concrete steps to correct historical injustices while upholding fairness and justice.<\/p>\n<p>China, he stressed, <strong>firmly supports the just cause of the Palestinian people<\/strong> in restoring their legitimate national rights.
