{"id":122303,"date":"2025-07-12T20:42:34","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T15:42:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=122303"},"modified":"2025-07-12T20:42:34","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T15:42:34","slug":"pak-vietnam-explores-renewal-of-bilateral-banking-cooperation-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/latest-business-news\/pak-vietnam-explores-renewal-of-bilateral-banking-cooperation-framework\/","title":{"rendered":"Pak-Vietnam explores renewal of bilateral banking Cooperation framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hanoi, Jul 12 : Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamak Khan held a meeting today with Dr Hoang Trung, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), to discuss avenues for enhanced financial cooperation between Pakistan and Vietnam.<br \/>\nBoth sides recalled the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2004 between the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and SBV, and welcomed the proposal to renew and modernize the agreement in view of evolving financial landscapes and growing bilateral trade,said a release issued here on Saturday.<br \/>\nIt was acknowledged that a renewed MoU could serve as a foundational framework to support banking cooperation, promote cross-border investment, and facilitate regulatory collaboration.<br \/>\nIn particular, both parties recognized the importance of incorporating emerging areas such as digital transactions, QR code-based payment systems, and financial inclusion into the future scope of cooperation.<br \/>\nThe Minister appreciated Vietnam\u2019s advancements in digital banking and expressed interest in leveraging Vietnam\u2019s experience to support Pakistan\u2019s financial innovation efforts.
