{"id":117856,"date":"2025-01-03T15:44:47","date_gmt":"2025-01-03T10:44:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=117856"},"modified":"2025-01-03T15:44:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-03T10:44:47","slug":"jc-summoned-for-appointment-of-judges-in-superior-judiciary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/pakistan-news\/jc-summoned-for-appointment-of-judges-in-superior-judiciary\/","title":{"rendered":"JC summoned for appointment of judges in superior judiciary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, JAN 03 (ONLINE): Meeting of Judicial Commission (JC) has been called in connection with appointment of judges in superior judiciary.<br \/>\nMeeting of JC has been summoned on January 17 for appointment of judges in Islamabad and Balochistan high court.<br \/>\nMeeting of JC for appointment of additional judges in Sindh High Court (SHC), Peshawar High Court (PHC) and Lahore High Court (LHC)  will be held on January 23, February 1 and February 6 respectively.<br \/>\nChief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi will preside over the meeting of JC.<br \/>\nJustice Mansoor Ali Shah, other senior judges and other members of commission will  attend the meeting. <\/p>\n<p>Nomination of  4 additional judges in Islamabad High Court, 12 additional judges in SHC, 10 additional judges in LHC, 9 additional judges in PHC and 3 additional judges in Balochistan High Court will come under consideration.<br \/>\n Nominations have been sent to JC on the matter of appointment of 38 judges in 5 high courts\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, JAN 03 (ONLINE): Meeting of Judicial Commission (JC) has been called in connection with appointment of judges in superior judiciary.
