{"id":117722,"date":"2024-12-27T15:17:37","date_gmt":"2024-12-27T10:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=117722"},"modified":"2025-01-01T15:18:24","modified_gmt":"2025-01-01T10:18:24","slug":"famous-actor-rangeela-remembered-on-birth-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/latest-entertainment-news\/famous-actor-rangeela-remembered-on-birth-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Famous actor Rangeela remembered on birth anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Dec 27 :Famous comedian and filmstar Rangeela was remembered on his birth anniversary on Wednesday.<br \/>\nhe was born on January 1,1937 , Rangeela started his professional career in 1957 with Urdu film `Daata\u2019, and shot to fame with films `Surya\u2019 and `Gehra Daagh\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He contributed as musician, singer, lyricist, writer and distributor as well.<\/p>\n<p>Rangeela who took a keen interest in body-building and physical exercises as a teenager, moved to Lahore at a young age and earned his livelihood by painting billboards for the Lahore movie industry.<br \/>\nRangeela made his professional cinematic debut in  1958 in a Punjabi film. Besides acting in movies, he also directed many, sang songs, and wrote some scripts.<br \/>\nThe film `Diya Aur Toofan\u2019 was Rangeela\u2019s directional debut. He directed numerous movies under the banner of `Rangeela productions\u2019.<br \/>\nOverall he acted in over 550 films in a career spanning over 4 decades.
